Sewickley Shoe Repair

Back in early June I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot for one of our local magazines – Sewickley Living.  They tasked me with shooting the Sewickley Shoe Repair shop run some of the nicest shop owners I’ve ever met, Carla and Mario Ulizzi. When I walked into the store and introduced myself, Mario walked me to the back of his shop and took me through his process by shining my shoes! I was amazed by all of the old machinery.  From the buffers and scrapers to the stitchers.  Mario not only has a talent for his trade, he’s one of the most passionate people I’ve met in years!

I’m incredibly grateful for the experience!

2015 OBX trip

It’s the annual family trip to OBX.  This year we saw the horses north of Corolla from Bob’s Off-Road Corolla Wild Horse Adventure Tours.  I finally tested out some new techniques with long shutter exposure in both day and night conditions.  While I could not see the constellations this year due to cloud cover, I managed to get some interesting under pier shots.

Take a look through my gallery and let me know what you think!

Slippery Mermaid Tiki Bar Party

I recently had the opportunity to do another photo shoot for one of my amazing clients the Slippery Mermaid.  They opened up a “Modern Tiki” bar in the heart of Sewickley, PA.  They have some of the best sushi I’ve had in years and now they can serve up unique drinks at their Tiki bar.

Below are some of the images I was able to capture on such a beautiful day.

I’m Published!

Yes, you read that correctly. While I’ve had my photos published in a variety of ways before, I’m actually excited to say that I’m now being published regularly in Sewickley Living Magazine.

2015 Sewickley Unleashed

Another great event sponsored by Explore Sewickley.  Sewickley Unleashed is a street fair, 5k run, and pet parade supporting the WPA Humane Society.  This year Brett Keisel and his Golden Lab, Maximus helped as the grand marshall!

The Avalon Animal Clinic was onsite providing vet assistance for the local animals.

The Slippery Mermaid

I recently had the opportunity to shoot for the new sushi restaurant, The Slippery Mermaid, in Sewickley. On top of being some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time, the experience was amazing.  From the top notch fish to the incredible presentation.  It was the dream food photography shoot. If you’re in the Sewickley area, you’ve got to stop in and try it!
